Drums, Percussion
William "Bill" Lockard was actually born in Colorado, but soon moved to Texas where he
was raised. He started playing music in the 4th grade. He played in many bands
throughout high school where he played guitar and bass. He eventually switched to
drums after serving in the U. S. Marines and going to college.
Upon completion of his college education, Bill received a Bachelor of Music Degree in
Music Therapy with a Minor in Classical Guitar. His musical roots are primarily in Rock,
Blues, R&B, Country, Bluegrass and Classical Music. Like the other members of
BadDogs, he plays multiple instruments, but chooses to concentrate his live
performance efforts on the drums.
Some of the more significant bands Bill has played in are: Killer & the Showcats (blues),
The Irish Texans (4 Tours, 5 Albums), The Denny Earnest Band, Prarie Moon, Shelly &
Kelly, The Judd Grossman Band, The Stagecoach Band, Tres Riders, Cos-Mo, The
Voodoo Hawks, and now The Dave German Band.
For the better part of the past 20 years, Bill has lived in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, but
resides now with his wife, Jill, in Woodland Park, Colorado
